This past weekend, San Francisco’s Harding Park was host to a very prestigious golf event: the President’s Cup. Thousands of golf fans came to the course situated on Lake Merced to watch 24 of the best golfers in the world compete. I had the opportunity to attend this event thanks to my good friend, John Kennelly, who’s connections at Toyota secured us tickets in the NBC Sports hospitality suite. And hospitable it was! There’s nothing like a great golf event coupled with free gourmet food and drinks. Not to mention a fantastic view of Tiger Wood’s cup clinching putt.

It didn’t stop there. Since the President’s Cup in 2011 will be in Melbourne, Australia there were some baby kangaroos on display.
NBC spared no expense in the dinner on Saturday night. They were kind enough to treat us at EPIC Roasthouse. The name is very fitting for both the food and the weekend overall. Very epic!
As the cup came to a close, we had great seats to view the closing ceremonies. It was quite the affair with a live orchestra, prominent celebrities and the players adorned with thier wives. I was able to snap a few up close photos as they entered the ceremony. Gavin newsom had a very strong presence at the event and gave a short speach about how great this event was for the city of San Francisco. It brought over 70 million dollars of revenue into the city.
I have played Harding Park six times and now I can say that I have seen some of the worlds most talented golfers play it as well. It was most certainly a presidential experience.
